In my opinion, Emma Watson's speech in general was a really good one because of the way she speaked, at a normal speed and with very good pauses. She was very kind, inviting not only women to fight against gender equality if not that also to invite man. She gave some examples of how she is nowadays thanks to the rights of women that very few have. For ending, my favourite part of the speech was the clause she said: "if it is not me, who? if it is not now, when?" because I believe that every country should have the same rights for men than for women but for doing that we all have to start changing this issue.
From my point of view, Emma Watson's speech expresses millions of girls' feelings.
All women should be valued at the same level as men. Women has the right to do whatever they want. We could do anything that is considered to be done by a men.
We can have big muscles if we want to. But we don't have it, because most of us are afraid and think that is men's thing.
I think I'm also really lucky, I can do whatever I want to without being less valued.
For example; I like to play pool, and this hobby or sport was considered and maybe nowaydays it is still considered as a men's sport or hobby in China and in many other countries. But I still play it because I love it. And none of my friends tells me to stop playing it. In fact, they encourage me to continue with it.
Whenever I do something that is more common in men, nobody tells me anything and nobody cares about it. They might see it as a really weird thing, but they do not less value me or forbid me.
Nowadays, some people think that sexism has been overcome, at least in the Western world. In my opinion, this is not exactly true. Certainly, if we compare our society to that of our grandparents, or even our parents, we will see that we have improved in this issue. But we cannot be okay with this, because as Emma Watson said, gender equality needs to be achieved. I consider myself a very lucky person because I have been born in a developed country. I cannot even imagine what it is to be a girl in poor countries, where they cannot even go to school or have an employment. It’s very important that we all take part in this issue. I heard about the heforshe campaign during Emma Watson’s speech, and I think it’s a great idea because it does not only encourage women to fight for gender equality, but also men. In my opinion, Emma Watson’s speech was very touching, but unfortunately, true. However, it’s good to know that there are young people like her who are worried about these issues and who can influence a great quantity of the population.
I think Emma Watson did a great speech, I hope she has encouraged the wemen who listened to her. Everything she said is true and I hope the situation will change in the countries that still think that wemen are less than man, unfortunately this occurs nowadays in a lot of countries. But I believe that the change will be done soon. In that Countries mostly in Asia wemen will have the same rights, opportunities and the same treat by the society. With this speech Emma has make people to realise about this problem, this will change and women will fight to achieve the gender equality. Everybody will be the same without taking into account your religion, your skin color ir your gender, girls in allĂ the countries would go to school, would have the same job opportunities as man and would express their opinnion freely. Emma Watson has great ideas and she expressed them. I agree with all what she said, this will soon change.
I have watched the video about the speech twice and what I'm more surprise about is the strength she has in every word she says. Her way of talking really makes you think at least in my case how a human have to worry about his or her genre for planning his or her future. I don't imagine how hard has to be to a women to plan her future taking in account that in her future work or at university or in wherever place she's going to live she might be discriminated because she can have a child so is difficult to be without working during 9 months for example or extreme cases to sexually abused in her works. I really hate this world because of that, as Emma Watson said. I think that her speech is really encouraging for both genre we both are responsible for changing this issue. I liked the part in which she said that no one stopped her during her career that nobody put her limits, but unfortunately it's not like that for every girl in this world. I wish we achieve this issue the soon as possible and we can live in world in which everyone is the same. I think that I'm lucky to have my mum, my granny, my aunt in society in which women don't suffer this inequality that much, but there's still some of it.
In my opinion gender equality is a big issue and this shluld always be taken into account, for example when she tals about feminism being man-hating. And how some of her firends left the sports they were playing because they were afraid of being ``muscly´´ Some people dont notice this things but gender equality is one of the biggest problems nowadays and i think it is underrrated. This is a serious issue, for example in some countries women have less salaries than man for doing exactly the same job, and that is something serious. The other thing that i liked from her speech was how she spoke about man too, about how her 18 year old friends weren't able to express their feelings because they were boys. In my opinion the speech was amazing and i think everyone should start to care aboult this and more problems that we are faacing nowadays.
Womens and mens should be equal and should have the same rights . I think that Emma is completly right because Girls can do the sale things us mens and not because you are a girls you can do some things that mens do forma example i used to play football and every one told me that it was a sport of mens but i play even every one tolds me that it was a sport of mens i demostrate that i could play ,that a girl play football
i think what emma said, really needed to be said by someone, i thinks she´s right in everything she said, i completely agree with her, women should have the same rights as men, we should be able to walk alone on the streets and not feel scared something is going to happen, we should get payed the same amount of money as men if we do the same job. I think that today´s society is better than it was years ago, but still, things need to change for women and also for men, what she said about men being called less men if they show their emotions or show vulnerability in any way, that needs to change, men also have the right of being sensitive and show it. Also i think she´s really brave for stepping up for all women and men in the way that she did
I agree with evereything Emma Watson said.Everyone should have the same opportunities and rights despite of their gender. Also, they can act how they want to and no one has the right to tell them he is not acting as his nature.A woman can love football and like playing car video games and nobody should underrespect her because of it.A man can cry because he is sensitive and nobody should call him a "girl ". I also liked the fact that she made very clear what is feminism that, in contrary of the majorities'beliefs, is not about fighting for women to have more rights than men, but to fight for gender's equality. This is an issue that affects everyone and, although we have made some progresses in some countries, it still affects a big part of the world. We have to work together on it to acachieve gender equality. As Emma said:"if not me, who?if not now, when?"
Emma Watson was great in her speech, good tone of voice, she wasn't so nervous, I agree with her. In my opinion gender enequality it has to be stopped now because all human beings are equal, I don't know: Why racism? feminism? Women can do the same things as men and can receive the same, for example a girl works the same job as a men but it doesn't earn the same amount. So for that reason we have to uny "uny forces" to stop it, also talks about the boys about how her friends weren't able to express their feelings because they were boys. In other countries occurs. In learn a lot seeing this speech because I thought only women were critised but men also.
I think Emma Watson did a great job with her spech, as she said she talked for been a known actress but she did a great job representatig every woman but also every man, she, and I agree with her, said that gender equality is far away even in developed countries in wich the women have smaller salaries than men, they are not taken seriosly in a political way, and they cannot decide on their own bodies, this is in developed countries, in not developed ones the situation is even worst where they cannot have a good eduction or a job. This is a very sad issue for globals equality and justice.
I really believe that this speech, or another similar was needed because, in my opinion, there are many people that thinks that the equality in the genres is a reality now a days and there is still a lot of work until we, even in the most developed countries, manage to reach it.
I think that what Emma Watson tries to say is that even in the last years this issue has improved a lot ther's a huge way to walk until we can say without any kind of dude that gender's equality is reached all over the world.
In my opinion, Emma Watson's speech in general was a really good one because of the way she speaked, at a normal speed and with very good pauses.
